Every time your experience shows up on the home page or in a sort, that counts as an impression. PTR is the share of those impressions that turn into a play. A stronger thumbnail raises it without buying a single extra impression.

What is Play Through Rate?

The percentage of people who see your experience's thumbnail and then play it. You can find it in your experience's analytics on the Roblox Creator Dashboard.

Why make so many thumbnails?

Nobody can reliably predict which thumbnail players will click. Generating a wide batch with AI is fast and cheap, so I can test many different ideas and let real player behavior pick the winner.
